They both belie separate natures: one, an ordered nature transmitted in anarchy; the other, an anarchic nature transmitted in symmetry.

The interplay between autumnal leaves and man-made lines, to me, signifies a starker contrast between the chaos of nature and the human need to order everything (a compulsion I'm also guilty of).
